Local makers, one brief, real quotes
Describe the cake you imagine once. Makers near you read the brief and quote for it; every quote holds for 30 minutes while you choose. You see each maker's hygiene rating before you accept, and you leave with a reference and who acts next.
The quotes
Two or three makers quote with their notice period and hygiene rating. The quotes hold for 30 minutes, then expire cleanly.
The reference
Accept one quote and the others decline politely. The maker confirms within 2 working hours and agrees the date with you. Your BC-M reference tracks it all in My requests.

Sample makers, honestly labelled
In this demonstration the makers below are sample profiles wearing the Sample badge, and their ratings are sample figures in the style of the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme — never presented as live register data. When real makers join, each profile carries its live FSA rating, checked from the official register and linked to it.

When the marketplace goes live, makers join with a food-business registration, a checked hygiene rating, and photos of their own work. There is no listing fee in the proposal: the maker pays a fee per accepted quote, proposed, not yet in force. Until then, the demonstration runs on the sample profiles above.
