Is the price really the whole price?
Yes. The total you watch change as you build is cake + UK delivery + VAT. Nothing is added at checkout, because there is no later surprise screen — the review step repeats the same itemised total you already saw.
How is the delivery date guaranteed?
The date picker only offers dates the studio can hit: it reads UK bank holidays (live from GOV.UK, with a bundled open-data copy as a fallback) and never offers a Sunday or a bank holiday. Your order is baked on the bake date shown and dispatched for the date you picked.
What if I need a cake that is not on the counter?
Describe it once on the dream-cake door. Makers read your brief and quote; each quote holds for 30 minutes while you choose. In this demonstration the makers are sample profiles wearing the Sample badge.
Can you do gluten-free or vegan?
Yes, on the two best-sellers: the Victoria sponge and the chocolate fudge come as gluten-free or vegan bakes for £2 more. Our kitchen handles wheat, eggs, milk, nuts, soya and sulphites, so we promise a careful bake — never an allergen-free room. The full allergen matrix is on every cake.
What happens after I order?
You leave with a BC- reference, the accepted order, and who acts next: the studio confirms within 2 working hours and locks the bake date. You can follow the status any time in My requests on this device.
Where do my orders live?
On your device, only: this demonstration stores your records in your own browser and sends them nowhere. Reset demo on My requests clears them.
Is this a real bakery?
It is a demonstration of one. No orders are placed, no money moves, and the operator's company details and food-business registration are listed as go-live items rather than invented. The recipes, prices, and journeys are the proposed operation.
