Accessibility statement
British Cake aims to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Here is what has been checked, and what has not.
What is built in
Every text and control colour pair was measured against WCAG AA in both light and dark themes (26 of 26 pass). The site honours your Reduce Motion setting, and a Pause motion control stops every automatic animation, including the logo's flame. The whole site works from the keyboard with a visible focus style and a skip link; the choice chips in the builder are real radio buttons; the held-total and quote countdowns announce themselves politely to screen readers; and forced-colours (high contrast) mode is supported with system colours.
How it was checked
Automated checks (axe) pass with no violations on the home page in both themes at phone and desktop widths; keyboard and screen-reader paths were exercised for both customer journeys; and phone-width behaviour was verified in browser emulation (iPhone profile). Real-device checks on physical phones remain open items and are listed honestly in the build's verification record.
